Gears for Military Equipment

Gears and shafts for tracked and wheeled armored vehicles, ships, drones, radars, missile defense systems, and artillery cannons. Common to gears, shafts, and coupling parts for military equipment are the strict requirements for quality, precision, and durability.

We specialize in delivering advanced components with precision gearing and complex details requiring 5-axis machining – developed specifically for the defense industry.

Our strength lies in close collaboration with the customer, where we manufacture and supply gears and shafts that meet the highest standards for quality, documentation, traceability, and delivery reliability.

Slewing Drives for Radar and Artillery Systems

There are many different designs and applications, and therefore the geometry varies significantly depending on function. We have many years of experience in producing slewing drives for radars, where extremely high demands are placed on precise positioning  and stability – a technology also applied to the control of artillery systems.

Gearboxes for Armored Vehicles

In recent years, we have produced a wide range of complex gears, shafts, and coupling parts for armored vehicles with gearboxes of up to 32 stages. These gearboxes are extremely energy-efficient, with an efficiency of over 90%. They are used in everything from 6- and 8-wheel drive vehicles of up to 45 tons, to lighter tracked and wheeled armored vehicles of up to 50 tons – as well as the heaviest tracked vehicles of up to 75 tons. We supply them all.

Advanced Precision Machining

Today, we manufacture some of the most advanced gears for the defense industry. These are often thin-walled constructions with many precise details that must align accurately with each other. This may include holes from multiple directions – including lubrication holes between the teeth – as well as grooves for rotation counters. It can also involve the exact orientation of keyways, holes, grooves, and teeth in relation to one another.

Hardening Methods for Gears and Shafts

For the gears and shafts we produce for military equipment, a wide range of hardening methods are applied, including induction hardening, case hardening, and nitriding. We master them all.

Marine Gear and Drones

With more than 40 years of experience in producing gears for marine gearboxes, we also manufacture gears, shafts, and coupling parts for small and medium-sized marine gear units and drones. Read more in the section [Marine Gear] (link to be inserted).

We are a member of DI Defense and Security and exhibit at selected defense trade fairs, such as DSEI in London, where we present our expertise in OEM production of advanced gear components for the defense industry.
