Food machinery has different appearance and shape depending on type and product being manufactured. We have manufactured stainless steel parts and gears for food machinery since the company was founded in 1942.

Today, we manufacture gears for large industrial meat mincers, ammonia cooling equipment for manufacturing margarine, and for very powerful dough pumps where extremely high torques are transmitted by compact gears. We have also manufactured gears for milk homogenizing plants and previously we have manufactured many parts for chocolate production machines.

Different parts have widely different requirements. Some are more or less standard parts where the price is primarily in focus. Other parts have high running demands, are being manufactured in high alloy stainless steel, or requires ultra-fine surface finish etc.

Hero Gears have in total manufactured food machinery gears for 75 years and we have considerable experience with this.
